Vector database

A vector database stores embeddings so you can find similar text, images, or records by meaning. It is infrastructure for search and RAG, not a substitute for access control or retention policy. Operators should treat vectors as sensitive if they encode private content.

Why it matters to your operation

Vectors need the same governance mindset as the documents they represent.
