Bárbara Trujillo

Founder & CEO — Vélez-Málaga, Axarquía

Bárbara Trujillo is the Founder and CEO of Yerbabuena Digital. She is a graphic designer and brand/communication strategist: brand design at Yerbabuena Software (2010–2013) — logos and corporate identity for the company that built Athento — then Communications Coordinator at Vélez-Málaga City Hall, with Advertising/PR/Strategic Communication and Graphic Design studies at the University of Málaga plus specialized master's degrees.

She founded Yerbabuena Digital in 2025 to help the companies around us in Southern Europe gain real improvements with serious technology — without hype, without losing ownership of their data or processes, and without needing a big team.

From Vélez-Málaga she leads a studio for SMEs that want to reach their potential — brand clarity, human accountability, and a website that answers.

Technology should feel like good land work — practical, understandable, and yours.

Our story

In 2005, a team spun out of the University of Málaga to bring fresh air to enterprise content management. They called it Yerbabuena — spearmint — because the software was meant to feel light, natural and refreshing in a category weighed down by heavy tools. That team built Athento, an intelligent document platform that grew to serve banks, hospitals, councils and administrations across Spain, Latin America and the United States.

Bárbara Trujillo worked with that original Yerbabuena Software story — building brands, communication, and design for products that had to earn trust. She went on to lead strategic communication in the public sector and deepen her work in advertising, PR, and graphic design — always close to Vélez-Málaga and the Axarquía.

Yerbabuena Digital is the next chapter: we plant seeds of technology that grow organically. Deep expertise in agentic AI, data architecture, and governance from the senior technical team keeps delivery credible; Bárbara keeps the company human, accountable, and rooted in honesty.

What we value

What we value

Organic growth

We start with what will take root — one clear foundation, then patient care. Forced forests do not last.

Freshness and honesty

Like yerba buena on a warm morning: clear before it is clever. If we cannot explain it, we have not finished.

Human in the loop

Agents should amplify judgment, not replace it. You keep the wheel on approvals; we tend the heavy lifting with full traces.

Quiet excellence

The plant flourishes. We tend the roots — websites, agents, data, and the unglamorous care that keeps them alive.

Independence

We recommend the platforms that fit your estate — we take no resale commissions and carry no vendor quota. Where prior platform experience shapes our perspective, we say so.

Location & roots

We are based in Vélez-Málaga, in the Axarquía of Málaga — Mediterranean light, hospitality and tourism all around us. From here we serve operators across Southern Europe in English, Spanish, and French, with the same practical, rooted approach.

Technical credentials

Behind delivery, the senior technical team holds current, verifiable certifications on the platforms we architect with — vendor-level depth that underwrites forward-deployed work, not wall decoration.

  • Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (Anthropic) — Anthropic's current credential for solution architects: designing production-grade systems with the Claude API, agent architectures, MCP, and the Claude Agent SDK. Verifiable on Credly. Together with OCI Architect Professional and hands-on agentic governance experience, it is how we staff forward-deployed delivery — architects who sit inside your operation and ship governed AI systems the way Palantir FDEs and frontier-model vendors deploy production work: on your data, with your constraints, measured by what goes live. Verify on Credly →

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional (Oracle) — Principal-level cloud architecture across landing zones, migration, and cost management — the estate layer under agents and model routing.

Credentials prove we speak a platform's language fluently. Our defaults still follow your interests: open models where they do the job, frontier models where they earn the premium — and delivery that embeds until something works in production.
