Agentic AI
Agentic AI describes AI systems that plan and act across steps toward a goal, using tools and memory rather than returning one answer. The useful version for operators is narrow: one workflow, clear success criteria, and hard stops on irreversible actions. Broad "agent platforms" without scope become expensive experiments. Agentic design is as much about what the system must not do as what it can do.
Why it matters to your operation
Naming the pattern helps you demand scope and gates instead of open-ended pilots.
